I was looking at the advantages and disadvantages between
  1. DWC
  2. drip
  3. ebb & flow

DWC grows monsters
but the roots are all in the tank
maintainig the res is a bitch

drip/ebb & flo get roots in your pot
but a pump failure means catastrophe

I have a DWC[aka bubble bucket] running right now
has my Blueberry mom in it
when I started her out
I had a small pump that pumped up to a drip ring 4 times a day
to promote roots in the hydroton
I took it out because the roots would attack it

now I’m looking at a new system to get the best of these

4 bubble buckets
with overflow drains at the bottom of the net baskets
drip rings will run 8 times a day for 15 minutes
this will keep plenty of anchor roots in the net pots
this will change the solution in the buckets eveyday
pump stays in an external res
far from invading roots

the 5 gallon buckets hold about 3 gallons at the bottom of the net pot
4 of those and a 13 gallon res
25 gallons of nutes all together

I have the res
I have the water pump
I need a 2nd big air pump
3 more 5 gallon setups

This might be a x-mas project
as this is for the flower room and it’s reserved for 10 more weeks
